Organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, the 2025 Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE) successfully concluded on September 20. The event brought together 490 exhibitors from 15 countries, occupying 1,500 booths. The event marked an increase of over 70% compared to the previous edition, making it the largest in the exhibition’s history. The exhibition attracted more than 36,000 visitors, nearly doubling the attendance from the previous edition over the three-day run. The top five buyer countries were the United States, Japan, Singapore, India, and South Korea. More than just a key platform for the aerospace and defense industries, the exhibition also reflected Taiwan’s influential role in defense autonomy, global supply chain restructuring, and international collaboration. Leveraging its strengths in semiconductors, ICT, and precision manufacturing, Taiwan has become a top preferred partner for global stakeholders seeking to build non-China supply chains. The event showcased strong global interest in Taiwan’s technological capabilities and production capacity. It also gave the international community a clear view of Taiwan's transformation from domestic innovation to deeper integration into the global value chain in aerospace and national defense.
The exhibition featured five themed pavilions, attracting a large number of industry professionals and the general public. The Defense Pavilion, themed “Resilient Defense, Strengthened National Power,” brought together units from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, along with defense R&D organizations for the first time. It showcased 51 advanced systems and interactive exhibits, offering visitors a closer look at defense technologies and elevating public awareness of national security. The Taiwan Space Pavilion united 39 organizations from industry, academia, and research to present, from design and communications to applications, a comprehensive satellite ecosystem. It also highlighted the latest developments of FORMOSAT-8, underscoring Taiwan’s capabilities in space system integration. The Unmanned Systems Industry Cluster, led by the Asia UAV AI Innovation Application R&D Center, gathered 21 companies to showcase diverse applications and indigenous technologies. Meanwhile, the Aerospace Industry Pavilion, organized by the Taiwan Aerospace Industry Association and led by AIDC, unveiled a counter-drone system and a dedicated engine for the first time.
