Residential quality and neighborhood harmony often improve with details in construction. According to surveys, common neighborhood disputes in Taiwan are frequently related to noise disturbances, drainage issues between floors, and water leakage. TAIPEIBEX 2025 was held from December 11 to 14 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. A wide range of domestic and international exhibitors showcased solutions such as soundproof floor mats, same-floor drainage systems, and prefabricated modular bathrooms, addressing real-life housing challenges from a practical perspective. The exhibition aims to guide the public toward more livable architecture and a sustainable environment.
In response to Taiwan’s aging building stock, the government has launched the “Aging Building Revitalization Program,” allocating a special budget of NT$5 billion to support exterior repairs, pipeline upgrades, and enhanced seismic and waterproofing performance over three-years’ time. At this year’s exhibition, many exhibitors aligned with this policy by showcasing materials, construction methods, and products applicable to building renovation, offering the public a wider range of refurbishment solutions.
During the four-day run, the exhibition attracted 68,772 visits, and welcomed 829 international buyers from 49 countries, including the United States, Japan, South Korea, and Italy, demonstrating its growing role as a key platform for showcasing building materials and construction technologies. In addition, the event featured the 22nd Taiwan Architecture Forum alongside multiple thematic seminars. The lively discussions on site were widely recognized and well received by both industry professionals and the academic community.
