Event Overview:
The 2026 Smart City Summit & Expo was one of Asia’s leading platforms for smart city technology, bringing together government representatives, city leaders, and industry experts from around the world. The event focused on smart governance, digital transformation, and net-zero sustainability. Through themed exhibitions, international summit forums, and on-site field visits, the expo showcased innovative applications of smart technologies in urban governance and public services, while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among cities across the globe.
During the exhibition, the program also featured the Net-Zero City International Summit and a series of sub-forums in addition to the opening ceremony and guided tours, offering in-depth discussions on future trends in sustainability and smart applications. A number of curated site visits were also scheduled, including the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, Taoyuan Water Recycling Center, Taipei Metro Operations Control Center, Taipei Traffic Information Center, National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering, and New Taipei Resource Recovery Education Center. These visits provided international guests with first-hand insights into Taiwan’s practical achievements and real-world implementations in smart city development and net-zero transition.
During the event, the Student Ambassador team was responsible for hosting international VIPs from over 40 countries, serving as a key bridge for communication and coordination. The team’s service was provided through airport transfer arrangements and full-time accompaniment. From the moment guests arrived in Taiwan, our ambassadors offered one-on-one assistance, accompanying them to the opening ceremony, exhibition tours, the Net-Zero City International Summit, and various sub-forums. During site visits, the team members also managed route guidance, provided real-time interpretation, and coordinated schedules, ensuring the smooth execution of a high-density, multi-session program. Their efforts significantly enhanced the overall quality of international hospitality and the professionalism of the event.
Job Responsibilities:
Arrange airport transfers and on-site reception for international VIPs, accompany VIPs to the opening ceremony, exhibition tours, the Net-Zero City International Summit and sub-forums, and coordinate site visit logistics include route guidance and schedule management while handling cross-team communication, real-time issue resolution and on-site support to ensure smooth event operations and enhance the quality and professionalism of international hospitality.
